I am obsessed with pop culture - TV, Movies, Books, Music and of course all of the celebrity gossip that goes along with it. I enjoy being the go to person for what's on TV on a particular night, what movies to see, and what books to read. Not that I'm a know it all - but I pretend to be.

Bye Bye Brooke

Brooke White got sent home tonight on Idol. Yeah... but what about Mr. Castro? He can't sing like the rest of them. He is cute, but he can't sing. The next 2 weeks we'll see him and Seyesha go... hopefully. I am definitely surprised Seyesha has held on this long.

David Cook Can Do No Wrong

I wasn't really into Idol tonight. Simon had it right... it was a bit "chaotic" with each idol singing 2 songs, and the judges didn't really get to comment until after the 2nd one. But, David Cook is amazing. He is the next American Idol. Can we just give him his crown now and not waste any more of America's time?

I'm really hoping Jason Castro goes home tomorrow. At the beginning of the season, I'd never thought I'd say that, but he is not as talented as the rest. And while David A. is talented, I feel like he should be one of the Jackson 5 or something. I still think he'll be in the top 2 though.

The Shape of Things To Come

Lost debuted last night after a short hiatus. This episode didn't really do it for me. Sometimes when things get a little too weird I feel a disconnect. But a few questions were brought up... weird. Is, rather was, Alex Ben's real daughter? He told the captain on the boat that she wasn't, but then he kind of acted like he was lying. Can Ben turn on the "monster" at will? He disappeared in a secret room and then came back out - immediately following the monster made an appearance. Hmmm...

I Love Top Chef Chicago

So, I never really made Top Chef appointment television until this current Chicago season, but I am really enjoying it. I really give Kudos to Bravo for their competition reality shows. They just seem to have a good formula going. Their challenges are interesting, the judges actually know what they are talking about and the contestants are truly talented. Check it out - Wednesday nights at 9pm. Or anytime you're lying around on the weekend... it's probably on then as well. Right between Work Out and Step it Up and Dance.

Carly goes home

While I didn't expect Carly to go home, I was not surprised. I love Jason, but I'm ready to see him and Seyesha go. Jason is not as talented as the remaining singers. I still think the finale will be the 2 Davids.

It's All My Fault...

If David Cook or Carly gets sent home tomorrow night. I had happy hour tonight, got home, cozied up to my sofa to watch AI on my DVR and by the time I got to Carly voting was closed in my time zone. :( So, I couldn't vote for her or David Cook. How about Paula telling David that she liked his instrument? I'm pretty sure she was talking about his voice, but really? Bottom 3 (if America gets it right) will be Seyesha, Brooke and Jason. I am REALLY ready to see Seyesha go home, but I feel like it is more Brooke or Jason at this point. We'll see.

Idol - from 7 to 6

Mariah Carey night last night on Idol - and the boys did a great job. David Cook's performance completely made me cry (what a sucker I am). My tears were totally due to the fact that his brother with brain cancer was in the audience - which they never acknowledged on the show.

For the results show they mixed it up a bit by breaking the 7 into 2 groups and then switching some people around. After Michael Johns was kicked off last week - it's been one surprise after the other. And I think last weeks results prompted the record number of votes for this season this week - 36 million. I thought for sure Carly would be in the bottom 3 - probably even going home, but she was not even in the bottom. That makes me happy b/c it most likely means she has a lot of fans, and I would like to see her go far.  The bottom 3 were Kristy Lee, Brooke and Seyesha. They announced first Seyesha was safe - I've been over her for at least a month now. And the big loser is... Kristy Lee Cook. THANK GOD! Maybe her "Proud to be an American" will become a hit single - barf. Although, she did already have her chance at an album.
I knew I should've voted for Brooke though. She is not bottom 2 worthy in my mind - but my DVR cut off the end of the show where they repeat the numbers. I'll be voting next week!

I'm back from my hiatus...

Just like Lost, everyone/thing/show needs a break once and awhile. If not to gain more interest - you don't realize what you miss until it's gone. Ha! I've been in Kaua'i and I'm still trying to catch up on my DVR let alone my sleep. But I'm back - maybe not in full force, but at least with a few Idol posts here and there.
